Carol Moore of Laughing Cat Productions LLC and Diane Hildebrandt of MsDetta, Inc. are proud to announce a joint business venture, www.spotlightonlake.com, a web guide to events along the South Shore of Lake Michigan. According to Diane Hildebrandt, "It’s easy to post a story or an event at Spotlight on Lake, just become a registered user."
There has long been a need for a master calendar of events along the South Shore of Lake Michigan. Carol Moore said, "By using Spotlight on Lake’s convenient calendar, users can avoid those scheduling conflicts." In addition, Spotlight on Lake features Shore News, Comings & Goings, the Shore Guide which will include Restaurant & Entertainment reviews, the Shore Website Directory with linkages and Shore Listings. Visitors will also be able to access the Weather Channel, WC’s Golf Course Finder, CBS2 Chicago News Headlines and live shots of I90/94 direct from INDOT. There are advertising opportunities for interested businesses.
Carol Moore originally had the idea for a community calendar in the early 90s, but delivery was always a problem. When Diane Hildebrandt, a web developer, heard about the idea, she thought it could work. While content has been a collaborative effort, Hildebrandt is responsible for design and development. Now that the site is live, she will continue to handle technical aspects, while Moore will be responsible for sales and marketing.
Carol Moore, B.A., M.A., owns and operates Laughing Cat Productions, LLC, a 1998 Telly Award finalist. Specializing in marketing and public relations, Laughing Cat is located in Munster, Indiana. Carol recently completed the Entrepreneurship Program at Purdue University Calumet.
Diane Hildebrandt, B.S., owns and operates MsDetta, Inc., a web development firm located in Hammond. Her design, Lilac Dreams, is featured on www.csszengarden.com. Diane serves as a moderator for www.bluegeckonetwork.com, an SEO Optimization/Web Design Forum as well as for www.greatnexus.com, a Webmaster Resource Forum.

Recently, Diane agreed to moderate at two search engine optimization / webmaster resource forums: BlueGeckoNetwork.com and GreatNexus.com. Prior to the request to become a moderator at Great Nexus, MsDetta was given the title "CSS and Usability Godess".
Due to MsDetta's suggestions and CSS tips, the owner of GreatNexus was inspired to redesign the GreatNexus website to incorporate a tableless design layout using pure CSS for positioning.
In addition to moderating, Diane subscribes to numerous search engine optimization, marketing, and design newsletters and is a participant on several mailing lists in order to keep abreast of changing technology issues.
